TIMARU MARKETS.
The produco market has not properly opened out yet, but another week of genial weather should see business in fairly full swing. Sinco samples of new wheat have been forwarded" but these were not all in tho best of condition. A few sales wero mado locally at 3s 5d to 3s 6d, delivered at mill sidings There should bo a good deal more offering during the coming week, for stook threshing is going on all over South Canterbury. Old wheat is fetching up to 3s 9d, delivered Timaru. Oats are being much enquired for, but not a great quantity is on offer. During tho week sales were made at 2s to 2s Id per bushel, delivered Timaru, sacks extra, for fair to _ood feed lines. Fowl wheat is very scarce- and old is quoted up to 3s 9d f.0.b., s.i. Potatoes are worth £3 to £4 per ton.
