In the list of handicaps for tho Waimato It, C's: Annual Meeting published yesterday Rod Wing 7st 51b in the TVaimato Gup should have read Red Kaiii. Kilts 9st 91b, and Thistledown Ost 91b were omitted from tho Stewards' Welter Handicap. ■ It. Cameron, the ex-New Zealand horseman, had, tho momit on Queen o' Scots when sho won tho Oakleigh. Plate at tho V.A.T.C. Autumn Meeting on Saturday week. At- the recent blood stock sales at Newmarket (England). Mr Georgo Pal--mer sold hie colt Ruapun'a to Lord St. Davids for 1350 guineas. Ruapuna, who is now four years old, is by King's Messenger from Bokaal, and won several nice races last year. At tho samo sale Bokaal, who is by St. Serf from Kissing Cup, was Bold for 1050 guineas. Sho is in foal to King's Messenger. At Calcutta on January 20th, the Australian-bred Tungaroa further demonstrated that he is the champion, sprinter of India. Ridden by F, Woptton, and carrying 10st 71b. he beat" thirk-en others in tho Hooghly Plate, running tho five furlongs in lmin Isec. He was favourite, and among tho unplacrd'lot were Jseith Bst 41b, Malmsley Bet 2lb, and Sperry 7et 41b. In the Merchant's Plato of 7500r5., run tho same day, Wootton rode another favourite, Brogue, who carried 9st 121b. Brogue ran well, but was comfortably beaten by Jemima, who in a field of seven paid a good price. Trafalgar, who won the St. Georgo Stakes at the V.A.T.C. Autumn meeting, has been successful in the last four w.f.a. races in which be has run, the respective distances being 2 miles, li mile. 1J mile, and nine furlongs. Trafalgar is engaged in the Essendon Stakes. All-aged Stakes, and Champion Stakes at the V.R.C. Meeting which commences on Saturday, so .that he will b©-given a chance of repeating .the performance of his grandeire Carbino, who carried off those thrco events at one meeting. . '
