Bates issued tho following weather summary and forecast at S p.m. yesterday:— Tho barometer rose high nbout Ccok Strait on Sunday, and has been above normal everywhere. Tho weather has been unsettled at times, especially in the northern and southernmost districts. ' Heavy rain foil about Auckland on Sunday night. Tho nights have been very cold in many parts. Present indications are for a falling barometer evorywhere, easterly breezes, veering to northerly and increasing everywhere, with warm and humid conditions generally; unsettled and showery at times in the northern and southernmost districts especially.
