BISHOPRIC OF MELANESIA.
THE REV, C. J. WOOD i NOMINATED. (press association telegram.) AUCKLAND, February 26. Cabled advio© has been received that the delegates appointed to select a successor to Bishop Wilson for the Bishopric of Melanesia have nominated the Key. Cecil John Wood, of Clergy House, Wimbledon. Mr Wood is-38 years of age, and is noted for hie scholastic attainments. He was scholar and exhibitioner of St. Peter's, Cambridge. He left the position of curate of St. Andrew's Church, Bethnal Green, to t become curate at Clergy House, Wimbledon, which position he now holds, being senior of eight curates. The Primare has been notified of the selection, and will shortly fix the date of the consecration, which will take plaoe at Auckland.
