LODGE MEETINGS.
♦ A well-attended meeting of the members of No. 1 No Surrender Ladies' L.O.L. was held in tho Orango Hall on Thursday. Four candidates wero balloted for, and accepted. Visitors from other lodges were present, including P.G.M. Bs-o. Meredith, who deTvered a very able address. The lodge instructor, P.G.M. Bro. Middleton, also addressed the meeting. The Canterbury Band of Hope Union held its usual monthly meeting Inst Thursday, the president, Mr J. McCullough, presiding. The treasurer's quarterly, financial statement was received. It was decided to hold the usual demonstrations on Easter Monday. Recommendations from the executive were adopted, dealing with the proposed route of the procession displays, competitions, prizes, etc. Leave of absence for two months was granted to the secretary.
