Thirty thousand people witnessed the final of tho six days' cycling race. Seven teams remained in yesterday morning; six"being level, andßoetzauer an<l Bell (Germany) a lap behind. The latter, after 141 hours' riding, failing to recover the deficit, retired.

There was splendid sprinting in the last-stages. Hehir headed Gascoyno past the two thousand miles mark, and in the last three-lap sprint Goullett, with a wonderful effort, just managed to beat LawKon, with Clark close up third, the teams finishing as follows: Goullett and Hehir, International, first; Lawson and Mitten, America, second; Clark and McNamara, Australia, third; Walker and Grenda, Australia, .fourth j Gascoyno and Lloyd, International, fifth.

The distance covered was 2026 miles, as against 2056 in Sydney, when the same team won.
