ANNUAL SPORTS MEETING. ' ! The annual sports mooting of the Chrifltchurch Polo Club was hold on Saturday alternoon on the "New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's track at Addington. The weather was very bloak, and the cold wind blowing made matters decidedly unpleasant for spoct.itoi3. There was only a. moderate attendance The different events resulted as follows:— FLAG RACE. Competitore pick up five flags and return to etarting post. First heat —H Little's Jennie (G. L. iStead) 1, C. Euthorford'e Midget (Owner) 2. Second heat—Owen Hope's Castoff (Owner) walked over. Third heat—A. Fear's Caruso (Owner) 1. Final—Castoff 1, Caruso 2. POLO BALL RACE. First heat—L. Rutherford's Diploma (Owner) 1, J. D. Hall's Lochaber (Owner) 2. Second hoat—C. Rutherford's Magpie (Owner) 1, L. Rutherford's Cypress (Owner) 2. Third heat— T. Cowliahaw's Sam (Owner) 1, G. L. Stead's Sunflower (Owner) -2. Final—Diploma 1, Magpie 2, Sam 3.
