NEW FEDERAL LINER.
LAUNCH OP THE WILTSHIRE. At Clydebauk, on December 10th, there was launched a twin-screw Btcamcr named Wiltshire, which has been built to tlio order of tho Federal Steam Jsavigalion, Ltd., London. The v«E£o], which has been constructed to Lloyd's 100 Al class, is similar to the Argyllshire and Shropshire, also built on tlio Clyde last year. Tbo. principal dimensions of the vessel are:—Length between perpendiculars, 525 ft; breadth, inouidc-3, 61ft; depth to shelter deck, 45ft; and groes tonnage übcui 11,000 tons. Tho Wiltshire has been built for tho trade' between Australia and Great Britain. .Two holds are insulated for tho carriage of frozen mutton,' fruity and provisions. In addition to the largo cargo capacity thero is accommodation for about 120 first-clasa passengers. Tho propelling machinery will consist of two sets : of quadruple-expansion engines, to which, steam will bo supplied by four largo boilers.
