* THE RECENT JUDGMENT. AN APPEAL LODGED. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYIDNEY, December 28. An appeal has been lodged against the coal vend judgment, on behalf of W. T. Appleton, on the grounds that tho judgment is erroneous, and that certain evidenco was wrongly admitted. It is also stated that there was no evidenco given on any point that Tho appellant did any of tho alleged acts to tho detriment of the public; that the evidence failed to establish intent to restrain or control trade to tho detriment of the public, and that certain sections of tho Act had been repealed by the provisions of certain amending Acts.- - -"• -
