CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER
(press association telegrams.) AUCKLAND, December 28. At the conclusion of the enquiry into the death of John Alexander "McConnell, who was killed in a motor-car accident a few days ago, the jury returned a verdict that the driver of th© motor, Riodes Battye, had by negligent driving, caused "the death cf McConnell. At the conclusion of the inquest Battye was arrested on. a charge of manslaughter.
