THE ITALIANS SURPRISED
United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. MALTA, December 26. Advices from Tripoli state that 16,000 Arabs, with cannon and quickfircrs, participated in the recent attack on Ainzara. Tho Italians wero surprised and thrown into disorder, and had to bo repeatedly reinforced. Tho Italians are converting Aiuzara into an impregnable fortress, and mounting long-range guns. THE TURkITrEPULSED. (Received December 28th, 1.10 a.m.) . TRIPOLI, December 27. A foreo of 1000 Turks, stretching from tho sea to Berka, advanced ward towards Benghazi. Tho Italians withheld their fire until the enemy wero within 2000 yards, when the artillerj drove them off, inflicting considerable loss.
