It is calculated that if, as is generally expected, the spinning mills in south and east Lancashire close owing, to today's impending lock-out in the Blackburn and Burnley weaving districts, 300,000 workers will be tnrowri idle. I Mr Crinfon, president of tho Amalgamated Cardroom Workers' Associations, has declared that if the masters of south and east Lancashire mills interfere they must reckon with the operatives at Oldham and other centres before the v mills will bo allowed to resume. Ho mentioned a number of old grievances requiring to be remedied. It is reported in Blackburn that Kir G. R. Askwith has asked for full details of tho dispute.
MISCELLANEOUS.
(Received December 27th, 9.35 p.m.) LONDON, December 21. The electric tramway system in the Lanelly district has been suspended, owing to a strike for the recognition of tho Union.
