The monthly meeting of the Wairaato County Council was hold on Wednesday, '.Messrs L. L. Hart (chairnsan), iiilnc. White, Lyail, Walker. Ditciicner, Elworthy, and IDolirmann being present. Tlio engineer reported that the bridge at Cabbage '^ TCO P« mt had been completed during the month, as also were* the protecting works at Brassii's crossing, alterations to vreir lev?! in Otaio river. Waihao ForksWaimato rond metalling contract, drainage rcorka on South road, and Waihaorunga • and Serpentine rond metalling. The tenders of Horgan Bros, were accepted for metalling or Makikihi and Hunter roads (£B4). and Hook school and Enctlebrocht'e roads j (£9O 10s\ and that of J. Walker (£3l !3s Gd) for St.inlov road and Cardiff ! street. P. McCarthy's tender at 10s !Gd per acre was accepted for loaso of j reserro at Lower Parcora. The ac« counts amounted to £i 96-3 3s sd, and included £995 ELarbour Board levy.
