RANGIORA.
(Before Messrs T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., and E. R. Good, J.P.) In a case against J. McKechnie, for maintenance, Mr Johnston pointed out that the maintenance had been paid before the summons was served. The defendant had separated from his wife by mutual consent, and was willing to contribute to the two children by the marriage. Mr Van Asch said defendant was bound to support his wife also. The Magistrate adjourned the case till August 29th. The official Assignee v. R. Wilson, £4 4s. Judgment by default for amount and costs 8s; C. W. Bell v. T. G. Newman £1 5s and costs Bs. Judgment went for plaintiff.
