AN EMINENT DOCTOR'S OPINION.
Dr. Robert Bell, M.D., F.F.P.S., etc., senior physician to the Glasgow Hospital for diseases peculiar to women, Vice-President of the British Gywecological .Society, etc., etc., says: — "Constipation acts very much in the same manner as the inhalation of sewer gas, and is as much a predisposing cause of disease as the inhalation of a vitiated atmosphere can possibly be. The system, is vitiated, and therefore depressed by the absorption of footid fluids from within. If the bowels are regular and empty themselves completely onoe daily, that individual will as a rale enjoy good health. All tho functions will bo more perfectly performed, the sleep more piacid and more refreshing than vrhen constipation is present."
