Miss C. W. Christie will lecture on "The Religious and Social Lifn of the Indian People" in tho Scottish Society's rooms to-night. Tho annual meeting fif the Chrisfcchurch Homing Pigeon Society will be held to-night in the Terminus"Hotel. To-morrow evening in the Choral Hall a free popular lecture, arranged by tho Navy League, wili bo given by Mr Henry J. Marrinor on "The Foreign Policy of Germany and her Army and Navy." The Rifle Club's concert in tho Motukarara Hall has been postponed till September Ist. Mrs Harrison Lee-Cowie will speak in Cathedral Square at 12.30 p.m. today and at 7.30 n.m. this evening in the Orange Hall, Hornby. On the 7th inst.
