NEW DESTROYERS
United Prtee Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received July 31st, 9.50 p.m.) LONDON, July 31. Tho Admiralty has placed orders for the construction of twelve destroyers, out of twenty provided for in the 1911 programme. Somo of tho destroyers ■will be of a new type, capablo of travelling at a speed of 33 knots an hour. "The Times" states that tho naval memorandum regarding, tho oversea Dominions is well conceived, and an eminently practical solution of the difficult problem of bringing three naval forces into close organic relations.
