SELWYN PLANT ATIONS BOARD.
\ meeting of the Selwyn Plantations Board was iield yesterday Mr G. Witty, M.P., pres.ding. Mr 11. <j. Kobinson, superintending nurseryman for the South Island, recommended trees suitable for planting on a block of 35 acres in Reserve 1757, opposite Coalgate. It was resolved that if possible the Board shovi'd plant 40,CC0 Coriican pines dunng the season, under Mr Robinson's superintendence. The Board accepted for reserves as follows: —Reserve 1755, 273 acres, H. A. Boyle; -part reserve 1760, 130 acres, W. J. Whyte; part reserve 1752 123 acres, H. A. Butler; part reserve 1334, !)3i acres, C. T. Jossep; part reserve 1757, 90J acres, C. C. Derrett; part reserve 1758, 52! acres t>. C. Derrott: reserves 17<8 and acres, T- A. Phillips; part of reserve 27,014, 12(3| acres, W. Hall: part reserve 1579, H32 acres, 11. T. feutton; part reserve 1758, 96 acres, O. 0. Derfor gorse-grubbing and cutting were held over for further consideration. It was) decided to grant five acres at the junction of the Boundary and Terraco roads as a site for a public school. It was agreed to vest in the Maivern County Council nreas in reservo IV v* and reserve 19.091, as gravel pits the County Council having erected buildings there.
