OBITUARY.
Mr John Mcdson, who had been resident in Ashburton for over thirty years, died rather suddenly on Friday, though •he had not been in good health for 60,110 httlo time. Mr Moison, who was a native of Franco, was engaged in business for a number of. years in Ashburton, but retired about eight years ago. Ho was a prominent member of the Roman Catholic Church, and took a very keen and active interest in tho Catholic Young Men's Club. He was 52 years ol ago.
