GREETINGS FROM EDITORS 'I havo ims and downs," said General Booth on his eighty-second birthday, "but on the whole I should think I am stronger and better than I hare been since the accident to my eye, and [ am full of hope- that 1 shall bo able to have the impediment .on my remaining eye removed. I am more than ever in love "with niy work." At the same time, in view of the fact that the eomins oneration for cataract may fail, the General is already preparing for total blindness by feeling his way about his house blindfolded. In this bravo spirit he-enters his eighty-third year. He intends it to be a full one, for in addition to the-.Social Congress next month, he intends to visit Scandinavia, Denmark, and probably FinJand and Russia. Later he.will go to Canada, returning via the {states, while in November he hopes to nay another visit to Germany. . His birthday brought the (Jeneral a shower of loving messages.
