DOMESTIC SCIENCE.
COLLEGE FOR NEW SOUTH WALES. United Press Association—By Electrio Tolegraph—Copyright. (Received Juno 16th, 10.55 p.m.) SYDNEY. June 16. Mr Booby informed a deputation of ladies that .1 domestic scienco college would bo established in a few months. One member of tho deputation urged that if the college only succeeded' in turning out a few good cooks it would do something, for at tho root of all domestic troubles and divorce proceedings, the word "indigestion" was written.
Mr Becby said that tho object of tho college would be to train teachers, who would impart their knowledge to tho children of every important school. Ho did not think that an attempt to establish a college for tho training of domestic servants would succeed at present. He looked forward to tho timo when a domestic would do eight hours' work, nr,' then leave. If anybody wanted tho luxury of another eight hours' work they would havo to get a second shift of girls.
