Mr P. HEKCU-S. President of the Industrial Association, writes to tho Manager of the Press Company as follows:—
On behalf of tho Industrial Association of Canterbury, I desire to congratulate you -upon the attainment of the jubilee of tho founding of your paper. "The Press" has been a eonsisten. and loyal supporter of local industry throughout its wholo career, and colonial manufacturers are greatly indebted to you for tho valuable aid which has been given to our Association on all occasions. Particularly when industrial exhibitions havo been held in Christchurch has the great support accorded by your journal been in evidence, and a large measure of the success which has attended these enterprises has been due to the newspapers of tho city. The lato Air Georgo Hart, one of the oldest and most respected members of your staff, was one of tho most valued members of our committee for many years, and was of tho utmost assistance at all times. Wishing "The Press" continued prosperity.
