Mr Coombes and party have arrived, so that the Australasian team for the Festival of Empire is now complete, with tho exception of Haskins, who is training in Philadelphia, and arrives in tho middle of June. (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.. WELLINGTON. May 27. Guv Haskins. the Canterbury amateur," who is to compete in running events at tho Festival of Empire, has written to -Mr A. Marryatt, president of tho Wellington committee, stating that he arrived in Philadelphia feeling very well, but on the big side. Haskins will leave Philadelphia for England on June 3rd, and by that tune will have completed sevexx weeks' training with "Mike" Murphy, who informed Haskins that he would have to be on the track twice a day.
