Electrical storms nnd heavy rain have been experienced in many parto. The rivers have been flooded on tho Went Coast of the South Island. Present indications ajro for westerly winds, strong to gale, veerinp to southerly everywhere (shortly. Rain and colder -weather aro to bo expected with snow on the highlands inJ t'he south. The barometer will probably fall -"lowly for a few hours, but ris-c rapidly" in tho south shortly.
