RIOTING RESUMED.

SEVERE CONFLICT WITH THE

POLICE. (Received March 24th, M.lO p.m.) LONDON. March 34. Rioting has been resumed at Clydach Yale. A mob gathered on tho hillside awaiting a few mine officials, whom they greeted with volleys of stones, and forced to take refuge in an hotel. A strong force of police attempted to protect them, but the mob stoned the hotel. Tho police charged the hillside, and a severe conflict between the police with batons and the rioters with sticks and stones ensued, but eventually the rioters were dislodged.

A number of police and strikers were badly injured. ,

The executive continues the arranging of a ballot, to bo taken on Saturday.

A force of military is held in readiness at Tony-pandy.
