THE TALISMAN MINE.
(SPECIAL TO "THK PRESS.') KARANGAHAKE, March 7. During the month of February the Talisman Consolidated crushed and treated 3609 tons of ore for n yield of bu'iion valued at £16,153 13s UVI. The costs ior the past month totalled 37s od. made up as follows : — Mine development 8s 3d. mining 12s l)d, milling 14. 2d, general expenses 2s 3d. The followi-is. cable message has been despatched to London :--"Xo. 13 Level X'orth—Progress lift, width of reef 54in. values low. No. 13 Level South—Progress 68ft, width of reef 2lin. values low. Commenced sinking No. 15 wirvze al a point 745 ft south. Progress 15ft: reef wider than winze, sssoy value £12."
