THE REFERENDUM.
LABOUR PARTY'S MANIFESTO.
MELBOURNE, March 7. The Labour Party's referendum mani* festo, which was lost in the post, has been found. It make© ah urgent appeal to the people to vote "Yes" to th© proposed alterations. It points out that th© Commonwealth laws dealing with combineis and tho new protection measures have been found unconstitutional, and unless tho people are content to b© exploited without an attempt at retaliation, and to be ruled by Trusts, the Constitution must be amended. The Federal Government does not intend to introduce itself into the domain' of property belonging to th© States. There is absolutely juo question of unification. The effect of th© proposals, th© manifesto claims, will b© to inoreas© th© self-governing powers of th© electors.
