MEETING OF THE CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION.

Tlie delegates of the Canterbury Cricket As.sociatkn met last evening, when there were present "—Messrs J. 11. Brinsden (chairman", A. T. Donnelly, 11. Wyatt, J. N. TVnvko, It. B. "Ward, C. Uoxshnll, E. Jenkins, J. Young, C. S. Thompsaii) A. 'Cant, T. A. Murphy, J. Reid, C. A. McCoy, E. H. faygill, W. King, 11. NYiison, and P. Mansell.

The tub-committee appointed at the previous meeting to go into tho matter of altering the boundaries, reported that the following resolution had been curried :—"That tho sub-committee is of opinion that the time is not opportune for any alteration in the boundaries " Home of the delegates took exception to tho motion on tho ground ot the numerical weakness of the East and AVest Christchurch clubs, and contended that the boundaries should be'altered. The motion was eventually carried. At a meeting of the committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association held subsequently, Mr J. Young presided.

An invitation from the Southluiicl Association to play a match at Christmas time or in February was declined, owing to the impracticability of tho proposal.

The Ashley County Cricket Association wrote stating that it would he sending a team to Christchurch on Decomber Kith.

The following notice of motion from Mr Caygill waa deferred for consideration at the annual meeting: l —'"That the Olago Association be invited to send a second representative eleven to Christ-

iiurch to play a Canterbury second on "December 24th, 2Gth and 27th, on the understanding .that Canterbury undertakes to send a second representative eleven to Dunedin next season."
