Nairn and Son had a very handßomo dispiav of all kinds, which was tastefully "rapS™making a distinct note of colour in that pan of tho hall. Messrs Buxton, Ltd., had also a display. Mr Rogers had an interesting exhibit in the shape of a new rose, Mrs Ailrea Tate: blooms of which were exhibited lor mc first time at the Cryatal Palace Show lost year. The decorative exhibits were vcrj >-ood, the tables showing much taste, wniljt Miss Revill had v charming floral hat made of Bweet peas and decorated with roses. The exhibits were divided into two classes —A, for those employing professional gardeners; B, for amateurs only. Taking tbe exhibits as a whole they were exceedingly creditable. Mrs Boyle had a fine exhibit in Class A for twelve roses which took first prize. The stand contained excellent blooms of Lady Battersea, Belle Schuyt, Hugh. Dickspn ,nnd Gaston Grinoire. Mrs A. O. Murray-Aynsley had the premier blooms for tea iMunin Cochct) and H.P. (A. K. Williams). In tho class for six Mr Churchward had a good bloom of Mildred Grant. Mr G. E. Rhodes took, second prize in this class. Tho stand included excellent blooms cf Franz Deegan, Earl of Warwick, and Madame Jules Grolez. The same exhibitor had in the first prize stand for six tea roses good blooms of Lady Roberts and Marie Van Houtte, and in the class for H.P. an excellent example of Lady Ursula. In his stand of tea or noisette Mr G. il. Rhodes had an excellent bloom of George Schwartz. Mrs Avnslcy in the same class for six roses exhibited fine blooms of Ernest Metz, Mario Van Houtte, and Madame Louie Laurence. Tho same exhibitor in the stand for eighteen H.P. had good examples of Duke of Wellington, Marohionoss Londonderry, and Tom, Wood. In the amateur class a very excellent display was made. Mr Perry's stand for six roses had good shows of Rainbow and Pharos, and Mr J. W. Irwin in that for three, a fine example of General Galliene. All tho other exhibits in this class were good. Tho ewect pea exhibits made an excellent show, all the blooms being well grown and the masses of colour showing uv> well. She tabic decorations wcro tasteful, the first pnzo one by Mrs J. May especially «>. The exhibit for exhibition only wore specially noticeable, particularly the pansies sent from Geraldine and Dunedin, roßes by Laird and Son of Wanganui, Mrs W. J. Stringleman, and Mt D. E. Wood, and a fine display of gladioli by Mr Carpenter. The judges were:—Rosea: Hon. E. C. J. Stevens. All other exhibits: Mr Young, head gardener Christchurch Domain.
