A very successful, garden party wis held on Thursday in connection with St. Mark's Church, in aid of funds for erecting now stables. There was a largo attendance, and o number of willing liands worked hard to make tho event a success, and they succeeded. The sum of £54 was taken, and the total, including promised subscriptions, will be about £85.

The weather still continues dry, and a good rain is anxiously looked for. Tho last one did a wonderful lot of good, And there is quite a change over tho crops, turnips, and grass.
