Very satisfactory nominations have been received for the Rakaia Racing Club's Annual Meeting, which takes place on the 16th inst. Nominations for the Stratford Racing Club's Summer Meeting close this evening. At the Kpsom Meeting, (Melbourne, on November 23rd, the New Zealand jockey, R. Cameron, rode three winners during the afternoon, and was just beaten by a neck in a fourth race. Kopu is under orders for Auckland, so that he may get used to the righthanded going at Eltorslie before the Auckland Cup comes up for decision. At a race meeting, held at Taroom, Queensland, ( on November 14th, J. Broadbent struck one of the posts on. the r-onrse and was thrown heavily. He revived severe injuries, and was conveyed to the hospital, where he died a Jew hours later;
