Savings Bnnk Act Amendment Bill, the State Treasurer, the Hon. W. A. Watt, stated that the credit foncier system had more than justified itself. Of £2,500,000 only £100 was in default; and of that £100, £58 represented interest. Tho Bill proposes to extend the system, in order to enable people to build their own homes.
