The Municipal Corporations Bill was recommitted in order to consider certain new clauses proposed by the At-torney-General. These provided that hoavy traffic license shall bo extended to any district within five miles of the boundary of a citv-. for the financial adjustment on the alteration of boundaries; and for the appointment by municipalities of specip.l Tiie new provisions were agreed to and the Bill passed. FINAL STAGES. The. Government Railways . Act Amendment Bill (No. 2). the Mining | Act Amendment Bill, and the Coal j .Mines Act Amendment Bill passed all | their stages without amendment. : LIBEL BILL. j The ATTORNEY-GENERAL moved | the second reading of the Libel Will, i The discussion which followed indicated | general approval of tho measure. The Bill was put through all its stages. The Council then rose.
