-—* The Executive Committee of tbe Doyleston Athletic Club met on Saturday evening in the library, when Mr H. Kissel, vice-presi-dent, presided. It was decided, after considerable discussion, to affiliate to the newlyformed Canterbury Athletic Union, nnd to obtain permits from that body and also from the New Zealand League of Wheelmen. Mr H. D. Anns was appointed the eiub'.« deleRate to represent it at the Centre meetings. Tho tendor of the Ellesmere Brass Band for supplying music, and that of Mr J. Hepburn for catering, etc., were accepted. A strong working committee was formed from amongst those present, and it is their intention .to leave no stone unturned to bring tbe annual -ports gathering, to be held on Boxing Day, to a successful issue.
