WEATHER SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
The Rev. D. C. Bates's wenther summary and forecast, issued at Wellington nt 5 p.m. yesterday, were as follow.—Tho weather Imis been warm, and much rain felt on Sunday in many parts of the Dominion, proving most beneficial on the East Coast of tho South Island. Prevailing winds havo Iwnn moderate to strong northerlics and westerlies, varying to southerly on Sunday night. 1 resent indications are for moderate to strong southerly and westerly winds generally, but increasing in Foveaux Strait. Tho baremeter will probably rife slowly everywhere, but a fall , is duo in the South after about thirty hours. Fair wenther will probably prevail, but it will bo unsettled _at times, especially in tho far South.
