ST. ALBANS v. SYDENHAM.
This match excited great interest at Sydenham Park, where there was a biff attendance of onlookers. St. Albans had first strike, and though T. Reese and Crawshaw made an excellent start, haviug 50 up before they were separated, the subsequent batting was overshadowed by the good bowline: and fielding, and the venture ended in less than two hours for 124. Bennett bowled splendidly, getting six wickets for 34. Sydenham's tstart was not too promising, and five wickets were down for 70. On Bruges joining Patrick, however, the issue was soon beyond doubt, Bruges playing a fine innings for 68. and he was only run out just on call of time. Scoree :— ST. ALBANS. First Innings. T. W.
