SHIPPING NOTES.

The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.'s lew 8000 ton eteanieT Pakeha, which left Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon, will arrive here this morning to disch'argo the balance of her cargo from London. She will probably return to Port Chalmers to lie up until tho opening of the new wool loading season. The Kaiapoi is loading timber at Greymouth for Lyttelton, and is expected to sail for this port on Wednesday next. The Komata, which loaded coal at Greymouth and Westport, left the latter port yesterday morning for Dunedin, Timaru and Lyttelton. The Blackball collier Ngahcre left Auckland at 9 p.m. on Thursday for Lyttelton. She is duo hero to-morrow evening, and _nll bo docked on Monday for her annual overhaul and survey. The steamer .Ripple, having been cleaned and repainted, was floa-ted out of dock yosfcerday afternoon. She is now loading, and will sail to-day for Wellington and Napier. Captain Carlson, late of tho Kahu, is in chargo of the Ripple, which has had her appearance materially altered by her hull being painted green and her funnel yellow with a, black top. Tho Government steamer Hinemoa, which arrived early yesterday morning, loaded stores during tho day, and is to sail at daybreak this morning for Godlcy Head, Akaroa. Head, and the southern lighthouses and West Coast Sounds. The s.s. Kairaki arri\'cd at Kaiapoi yesterday morning from Napier, and landed 76 head of cattle at the mouth of the river, -nd then came up to tho wharf to discharge her cargo of timber. She is now loading produce for tho West Coast.
