GREENDALE.
Dry. windy weather continues in the Greeridule district, and although rain has threatened several' times lately, comparatively little has fallen. Crops and 'pito'ttires arc badly in need of a gocd rain to thoroughly moisten the surface. Feed is not very plantiful, as though the clover has mado fair headway, the grass is very backward. Shearing operations have commenced, but the shearers say that the wool is not in gocd order, and as a result of the dry, windy weather the fleeces are full of grit and Foil. A large amount of potato planting has been done, and a large area in tin's district will be iinder this crop lhi_ season.
