The Anglican Mission opened in Timari: on .Saturday incut, niion Si. Mary's Church was' filled. The missionors, Canon Tupner Carey ami Mr Harris, were given a very cordial reception. The coming of tho missioners had been made widely known beforehand, and with their genial ways they quickly ensconced themselves in the hearts of their listeners. The first ser\'v:o in iSfc. Mary's tool* the form largely of an introduction as between the missioners and tho people, Canon Tupper Carey explaining tho objects of the mission, and creating a kind of mission atmosphere. The meeting in the church ended at 9 p.m., and after this tho oversea visitors adopted the most unusual course (for Anglicans) of addressing an open-air meeting in the main street of the town, where they wore listened to by a big audience. Apparently possessed of untiring zeal in and devotion to their work, they held seven services yesterday, all at St. Mary's Church; at 7 and 8 a.m. Holy Communion, at 11 a.m. matins and sermon, at 2.30 p.m. a children's service, at 3.30 men's service, at 5.30 evensong, and at 6.30 p.m. mission service. All the services were of a very hearty naturo, the listeners seeming to catch something of the enthusiasm of the missioners.
