A meeting of tho committee appointed by the citizens in connection with the campaign of the Mayoress (Mrs Wilford) to raise money for. the erection ot a children's hospital was held to-night. Tho GnvcrJiment subsidy will bring the amount available for the building to about £'IG,OOO. Lord Islington and other speakers expressed great gratification at the eplmidid success of tl>« rcheme. It was it-solved to recommend that tho new hospital be named after the Into King Ilihvard.
