LODGE MEETINGS.

The fortnightly meeting of the Excelsior Division No. 4 S.D.T., was hc'.-cl on Monday night, Bro. E. Lane, W.P., presiding over a good attendance <M members. The M.W.P., Bro. G. W. Andrews, and the M.W.S., Bro. J. H. Jones, paid an official visit to the Division. One candidate was .proposed for membership, and one was reported for proposition at the next meeting. At the fortnightly meeting of tho Loyal Benevolent Ixidge, 1.0.0 F., M.U.. N.G. Bro. Suiter presiding, a di.cu.sion took .place en the question of the ledge., protesting against joining the New Zealand branch. P.P.G.M. Bro. W. H. Browne presented an oak framed certificate to P.G. Bro. J. H. ."-danders, -who has been twice through the chairs. The officers nominated for till? ensuing six months were:—N.G., V.G. Bro. G. Judd; V.G., E.S. Bro. J. W. H. James; E.S., Bros. Bhillips and Beaumont. At the last meeting of Court Star of Canterbury, A.0.F., 2309, Bro. J. Newton, C.R., presiding, the District secretary forwarded Bro. J. Y. Beattie's registration certificate as trustee of the Court. Bro. W. A. Turner, CR. Court Thistlo of the Forest, paid an official visit, and was accorded a hearty welcome. Two jnembers were initiated into the Order. The Hope of Christ church. No. 8, held its usual session on Tuesday evening, Bro. Forrester. C.T., presiding. Greetings were bro*,i<rht by Bro. Green from the West Coast Pioneer Lodge. A new charter was presented to tho Lodge by Bro. Kenwood.
