ATTEMPTED TRAIN WRECKING.

(PRESS ASSOCIATION" TELEGRAM.) GORE, May 26. What looks like a. premeditated attempt to wreck the express train between Gore and Kingston was made yesterday, when two boulders were placed on the rails at the Kingston cussing, a point twenty-five nr.ies north of Gore. They caused the front wheels of the engine to leave tlie rails. The occurrence is all the moro extraordinary on account of the fact that half an hour previously the down express passed without any mishap; accordingly the stones must have been deposited in the middle of the day. It can easily lie traced where the stores were lifted from the bank. Tlie. district is sparsely populated. The police are investigating the matter.
