NEW ZEALAND PAPER MILLS.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION' TELEGRAM.) DUNEDIX, May 25. Tho annual meeting of the New Zealand Paper Mills Company was held this afternoon. Mr F. W. Mitchell, in moving the adoption of the report and bal-ance-sheet, said the company had shared to some extent in the .renewed prosperity in the Dominion. The balance available for distribution, £'6637 ls 4d, was £971 more than the amount available last year. Operations at Riverhead bad been much retarded by alterations going on, and competition from imported light papers had been greatly felt. The directors recommended that £2500 be set aside for the reserve fund. Alterations, etc.. at Riverhead, had
cost some £12,872. but they would Jesuit in a largely increased output, mo report and balance-sheet were adopted. In reply.to a question regarding the projected manufacture of wood pulp in New Zealand, the chairman said notliin" was being done. The retiring directors. Me-ssrs Rattray (Dnnedin). and Culling (Auckland), were re-elected, also tho retiring auditors. Messrs 13arr, Leary and Co. (Dunedin), and W. »v. Bruce (Auckland).
