Tho annual general meeting of the E Battery New Zealand Field Artillery -was "held on Tuesday evening; There -was a large muster of tho corps (99 N.C.O.'s and men), in addition to Captain Duncan and Lieuts. Bcattio and Burn. Captain Duncan gave a resume of the year's work, and congratulated the Battery on the great' improvement shown, both in general efficiency and numbers on the roll. _Thc balance-sheet showed receipts £717 (is 7<l and expenditure £548 18s Gd, leaving a credit of £IGS ids Id. The following committees were elected:—Finance : The officers and SergeantMajor Lezard and Q.M.S. Deo. General: The Finance Committee and FurrierSergeant Stokes, Sergeants Johnstone. Bilcliffe and Saunders, Corporal Ccmyns and Driver A. Hall. Social: Farrier-Serge-ant Stokes, Bombardier Simpson, Gunners A. Syme and Moody. Drivers "Buckley* A. Hall, C. Hail, and Hicks. Shooting: Bombardier Vincent, Gunners A. Symc, Moody and Russell, Trumpeter Hall.
It was decided to hold the annual smoke concert outside the Barracks at an early date, arrangements being ioft to the Social Committee. Several matters of interest in connection with the corps wore freely discussed, and the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the officers for their valuable work during the year.
