Jamet, Joseph Brown, a third offender, was sentenced to seven days' imprisonment. Thomas Richards, also the subject ol a prohibition order, was convict*cl and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon, nrovided he remained in the Salvation* Army Home for six months. , John Carkcck. alias Carson, . and David McGavin, alias James Corbett, , were charged with vagrancy and with selling liquor without a license. lm> accused were known as "lighthousos." That is to say. they nrocured a bottle ot whisky, and 01 Sunday last went about the" streets retailing it at so much i\ "nip '' The Magistrate imposed a fine of £20 in I costs on oach accused. The charge of vagrancy was v.-.thdrawn. APPLICATION FOR SEPARATION. Malvino Wood applied for a summary separation order against her husband, Horatio Wood. The applicant had lived with her husband since the .summons wa- issued; in fact she only left him "the previous ni-ht. The Magistrate, as there was legal authority on the matter, declined to entertain the application and dismissed tho case. Mr Leathern appeared for defendant.
