The Ripplo left the Thames on Sunday with a cargo of timber for byttelton, and is expected to arrive here, on Friday morning. Captain A. Carson, late of tho Rakonoa, is taking the Rotoiti across from Wellington to Hobart, with Mr J. C. .ivoss. lato of the. Kurow, as chief officer, and Mr R. L. Paton, of tho Whangape, as eeconu. Captain E. R Stewart is to take charge of the Rakanoa. Mr Ha-lley, chief steward of the turbine steamer Maori, has been granted a month's holiday leave, and will go ashore, at Wellington to-day. Mr H. O. Stevens, who has been relieving Superintendent Stewart for th<? Union Company at Auckland, will rulieve Mr Hal ley. The Pukaki. which left Westport on Monday night with a load of coal for Lyttciton, pa«sed Farewell Spit at 0 a.m. yesterday, and is due here about 1 p.m. to-day. The Blackball Coal Company's collier Xgahero left Greymoufb at 10.25 a.m. yesterday, and is due here at an early hour to-morrv.v morning. The vessel is coming to coal -he Kaipara. The Shaw. Savil! and Albion steamer Hantratirn. sailed yesterday evening for Wellington to complete loading and coaling. While at this port she loaded a very large, quantity of frozen meat and wool, and she will be a "full'ship" when sho leaves Wellington en her first Homeward passage. The Xew Zealand Shipping Company' , ] steamer Kaipara is expected to arrive hero to-morrow from Timaru to complete loading. Sho will leave hero on Saturday for London via Monte Video.
