SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
At the last meeting of the East Christen urch School Commit tee letters were received from the Board of Education stating that Miss E. X. Webster had been appointed assistant mistress in the main school, and Mias Elsie Pratt pupil teacher in the Phillipsto wn School. It was resolved to observe June 3rd, the King's Birthday, as a whole holiday. The tender of Messrs Cldridge Bros., for the supply of coal and firewood to the schools, was accepted The headmaster reported that the average attendance at the Main School had been f>39 out of a roll number of 7"3 and at the .South Belt .School 87 out'of 100 on the roll. The head mistress of the Infant School reported that 'J4 children had been admitted, while lli had been withdrawn, leaving a roll number of 371. itle head mistress at the I'hiHipstown School reported that the average attendance had been 'Su out of a roll number of 3Qβ.
