AMUSEMENTS.

EMPIRE VAUDEVILLE COMPANY. The new programme given by the Empire- Vaiidevilio Company at the Opera Hou&o last night was a very attractive one. Tho antiquated- hrst part was done away with, and the various turns preceded by a biograph picture went on in duo course. The principal feature of the programme was the two new turns by Do lie Mi and Guillaume Baby and Co. The former is one.of the most eccontric as it is one of tho cleverest and most unique musical turns seen here. In one portion of it, recalling the old nursery ballad, a comic musical sparring bout was given by two performers, who in addition to bells on their hands and head also had them on their feet. Tho melody was cleverly played by the feinting in the boxing. A -number of other musical items were introduced, one clever one being by two performers, one playing suspended. Iwlls and the other a post horn with a cornot tone. Tho second turn by Guillaume Baby and Co. was an intensely funny burlesque of a Spanish bullfight, carried out by three dogs as bulls, who charged and upset the toreador (mounted on a hoby horse), and the presiding genius of the arena. Mdllc. Lolitn, a clever dancer, gave c Spanish dance- very -well indeed, the effect being heightened by coloured lights. Music was decidedly in the air at the Opera House last night, Mr Thrasby, in addition to giving a clever mix-up of "The Village Blacksmith" and "The Werck of the Hesperus," playing a piccolo solo w&ll. All the other members of the company were stiocossfnl'in their respective turns, Mr Ward Lear having to respond to several recalls. To-night the same bill will be given. THEATRE ROYAL. "Peter Pan" was repeated last night to a crowded house at the Theatre Royal, and went splendidly throughcut. It will be given again this evening, and the first matinee of the season will be given on Thursday. FITLLER'S~PrCTURES. The programme of Fuller's Pictures at the Colcßseum was repeated very successfully last night, all of them being well received. To-night they trill again be exhibited. DRAMATIC PERFORMANCE. Last night, at tho Choral Hall, the members of the Hibernian Dramatic and Comedy Club played the farcical military comedy "My Soldier Boy." The various characters, which were Piled by Misses Foley, Horan. Redmond, and Messrs Glubb, McDonald, Popplewell, Gill, Allwright, and Clark, were played with a good deal of success. The work of ths members of tho club showed a good deal of dranratic talent, and as a whole the piece went excellently. It will be repeated this evening. WESTS PICTURES. There was a good attendance last night at the King's Theatre, when the l-rogramme of West's Pictures was repeated very successfully. To-night the same bill will be given. PATHE PICTURES. The new programme of the Pathe Pictures at the Alexandra Hall drew 'a very large audience last night. All the different series, especially the fine one illustrating the story of Cagliostro, the famous charlatan, were exceedingly attractive. They will bo exhibited again this evening. MUSICAL UNION CONCERT. Tho subscription concert of the Musical Union, at which "Faust" in concert form will be sjiven. takes place at His Majesty's Theatre on Tuesday next, 31st inst. The soloists will be Mrs Arthur Mead. Mrs Ernest Harbor, and Messrs Frank Graham., Hu:;h Hobbs, and Sidney Williamson. The tickets which were issued for May 10th will be available for this concert.
