MR WILLIAM BUSH.
•Mr William Henry Bush, ••me of tho very old residents of Christehurch, died yesterday. The late Mr Bush vas a* native of Great Dunm<vr, Essex, England, and was born in 1834. He nrnved in Lyttelton by'the ship Glentanner on October 3rd, 1857, and carried on business in Christehurch for a large number of years. Hβ took a particular interest in the progress of the new city, and for a lonp time devoted Uimsolf to the work of collecting photographs of tho pioneer and pilari'ii settlers <:f Canterbury. In ISDS he presented his collection to the Christchurjh Museum, and the photographs h?.ve now Tuite an historic value.
(press association telegram.) , WANGANUI, May 22. Mr Daniel Bayly, a very old resident of the Taranati and "Wanganui districts, died suddenly this morning. He was 75 years old. .
