THE GOVERNOR'S FAREWELL TOUR.

PALMERSTOX X., May 21. His Excellency the Governor paid his farewell visit to Palmerston this afternoon. Ho was met at the Railway Station nnd driven to the Square, where he delivered a brief farewell address. Sis Excellency referred in kindly terms to his residence here, and the interest he .felt in the town, and its aims and aspirations. The Governor was presented with an addrois ou behalf of the residents of the town by tho Mayor, who also delivered a ehort address. Among those present were the Hon. D. Buddo and Mr Justice Cooper. j. WANGANUI. May 22. At a public meeting at Wanginui on Saturday evening, His Excellency tho Governor was presented with a «ol<s fountain pen to commemorate, the part he has played in signing various proclamations and deeds connected with Wanganui municipal history.
